Adeptus Mechanicus Servitor Maniple

This weekend's project is finished. 16 out of 20 of my Servitori Interitii, close combat servitors for my AdMech army. They're mainly based on the idea of Arcoflagellants, but the citadel Arcoflagellant models are a) expensive and b) horrible miniatures so I have used Mantic Ghouls and given them chain weaponry made from laser-cut mounting board and heads I sculpted and cast in resin.

I've kept the same base colour as the Skitarii to give a sense of coherency, but used washes to make them look oily, greasy and rusty. After watching a good programme on mummification on saturday night I decided to abandon the pale look I was intending for them and go for a more leathery appearance as if the natural bodily fluids have been completely replaced by preservatives. Some of these guys are probably centuries old. For a splash of colour I added some ridiculous yellow hazard stripes (look out, it's got a warning sign on it, it may be dangerous!) and some red cables to tie them in with the AdMech colour scheme. The only figures in the army who are going to be dressed in red are the technomagi themselves.

On the subject of technomagi, here are a couple of work-in-progress techpriests built around cast resin generic cloaked figues and awaiting heads cast from the same moulds as the servitors', with added tubes etc. of course.
