More ladies with banners
A couple more banners to furnish the Fimir, this time the Fianna and Bansidheia are getting standards. The Fianna a 'dark crystal of Chulaine' symbol over crossed Haakskarl, a knot design and Froudian creature. The Bansidheia a Fimm symbol knotted with a heart and a small 'eye of Balor' motif.

The Fianna Fimm- Almost Fimm-ished!
Last week was spent very pleasantly cruising along the canals of Olde England, and though there were many locks I did find some moments to paint the rest of the Fianna Fimm. These guys were sculpted over basic bodies I cast from my earlier two Fianna Fimm sculpts. For some reason my brain wasn't recalling the appropriate sequence for painting Fimm which I have followed so many times, and I left my instructions at home so these guys are a little more pink than the others. I wasn't happy with them at all for a long time but I think they've worked out OK. Maybe the Fianna scrub more frequently than their bog-standard-Fimm brethren!
Left to right: Twinkles, Pipes, Dopey, Toothy, Meanie and Beaky!
Here's the unit nearly complete, with the two original Fianna sculpts, vintage Fimir and unit filler.
All I need now is to sculpt the unit champion who will be based on the Garthim Master from the Dark Crystal, principally on this illustration by Mr Brian Froud:
