The prototype copies of Tripods! arrived earlier in the week... after sitting in the sorting office for ten days. Four shiny new sets to play with and drum up interest for the European print run. Potential US customers will be able to order these sets direct from the manufacturer from next month, the Kickstarter for the UK and European release will be happening in October so the games should be ready for December. We'll need 300 orders to go ahead so please spread the word and watch this space for all your Christmas shopping needs! If we clear the required total there will be some funky additional goodies too as a thank you.
Welcome to the old school miniature wargaming/roleplay hobby blog of Geoff (AKA Fimm McCool) from Oakbound Studio. I hope you enjoy your visit.

the Golden Gobbos 2013!
There's a rumour that the wonderful Golden Gobbo Oldhammer painting competition is coming back... at Oldhammer Day in September. Sadly I won't be in attendance, but a helpful chap from the Blood Forum has offered to courier my entry to the event (Have to defend the title from last year, Haha!). I've just packed it up and am feeling quite happy with it. Don't want to give too much away, so here are just a few teaser shots...
Now, what is it eh? :)

The Snots are back! The first base gets assembled about a year after purchase!
Well my snotling army seems to have grown slightly over the last few months, and having spent a year in a drawer I thought it was high time to give the little buggers some love. Back when the army was starting the muster some genius (sorry, can't remember who it was or find the post) suggested that classic scene from Deathtrap Dungeon as reproduced here should be the theme for a base.
The guy walking on his hands was the most tricky to find a snot to fill the role, see if you can spot who it is!
So I thought "that's a good place to start".
A bit of posing and light chopping/gluing and we have the first base assembled. No rocky pillar as yet but it'll come.
