Hi all. Sorry it's been quiet here recently. I've got lots of good stuff coming I promise! Anyhow, remember those Imperial Beastmen/Phagons I did during lockdown? Well a good matey is having a 40th birthday 40K extravaganza shortly for which I needed a warband so I decided to do something with the Urban War Viridian riding beasts and Knightmare Miniatures cyber minotaurs that I've had kicking around for a while.
They all look really splendid. I have some of them, so I'm familiar with the sculpts, and I have to say you really made the most of them, what a wonderful work!
ReplyDeleteThe riders are amazing, great work on them. Did you need to cut the bodies and use different legs, or could you just bend the originals to fit?
ReplyDeleteI'm often tempted by the phagons, but I have just too many projects queued up already.
I did cut the legs off and putty them back into position, along with adding a sculpted saddle and stirrups. The Phagon fur is pretty coarse so not too hard to replicate.
DeletePity the poor frontier planet that has these guys sent in as peacekeepers! Glorious stuff.
